A return to true rest

We've become well practiced in distraction, but far less familiar with stillness.

Sessions are designed to gently guide the nervous system into a deeply calm and slowed state. This internal settlement allows the body time to recover, communicate, and regulate naturally.

The Restorative Response

_

The body is designed to move between activation and restoration. Yet modern life often keeps us in a prolonged state of stimulation, stress, distraction, and mental noise. Repetitive sound and gentle vibration help guide the brain toward the slower rhythms associated with deep rest and meditation. As the nervous system responds, the body is invited out of patterns of constant alertness and into a calmer parasympathetic state.

Because sound travels physically through the body — through water, tissue, and fascia — sound baths are experienced not only mentally, but somatically as well. The vibrations are felt as a full-body sensation of grounding, release, calm, or regulation. While every experience is different, people often leave sessions feeling quieter mentally, softer physically, and more connected to themselves.

In-Home

Pregnancy & Postpartum Restorative Sessions

Both seasons of pregnancy and postpartum ask an extraordinary amount from the body, mind, and nervous system. These in-home sessions are designed to offer intentional rest and support during months often marked by exhaustion, transition, overstimulation, and continual giving of oneself. Sessions include restorative positioning with supportive props and pillows, facial relaxation using Gua Sha, guided meditation, introductory breathwork, and a one-hour immersive sound experience designed to support nervous system regulation, emotional grounding, and full-body rest — bringing care directly into the home.

Christian Contemplative Gatherings

Throughout scripture, Christ repeatedly withdrew from noise to seek stillness, prayer, and communion with God. These gatherings create space for that same quiet reflection. Through restorative sound, guided scripture meditation, breath, and silence, participants are invited into worship, prayer, gratitude, and contemplative rest — the focus simply presence: quieting the mind enough to turn the heart toward God.

About

Abigail Honn

I love to sit still, but my mind never will. Understanding neural entrainment — and the way sound can quiet the mind — was revolutionary for me.

My introduction to sound meditation began while leading guided backpacking retreats in the mountains, where I’ve always felt how easily nature, stillness, and intentional rest could affect both the physical and emotional state. Through completing my degree in biology & ecology, I developed a deep appreciation for the way living systems naturally seek balance, restoration, and healing conditions.

Following individual mentorship and training in trauma-informed sound facilitation and nervous system regulation, I now offer sound-based experiences designed to support individuals through seasons of overwhelm, depletion, and healing — which, ultimately, includes us all.

Questions

Before your first session

What can I expect in a session?

You’ll be guided into a comfortable, fully supported resting position with bolsters and pillows. After a brief settling with gentle breathwork and meditation, you simply rest while an immersive hour of sound moves around and through the body. There’s nothing to do or perform — only to receive.

How does sound interact with my body?

Sound is experienced by more than just the ears. Because the body is largely composed of water and connective tissue, vibration can be perceived physically as well as heard. Slow, sustained tones and guided breathing encourage the parasympathetic nervous system—the body's natural "rest and digest" response, closely associated with vagal activity. As the nervous system settles, many people experience quieter mental activity, slower breathing, reduced muscle tension, and a greater sense of calm and presence.

What should I wear?

Anything comfortable that allows you to fully relax. Sessions involve very little movement and are inspired by restorative and yin-style positioning, supported with pillows and bolsters wherever your body needs them most.

Do I need prior experience?

Not at all. Whether meditation feels natural or nearly impossible for you, these sessions are designed to gently support the body and mind in slowing down — without pressure or performance. No previous experience is necessary.

Can babies be present?

For postpartum sessions, many mothers prefer to coordinate childcare so they can rest fully without staying mentally attentive. That said, you know you and your baby best — if you’d like your little one napping in the room with us, we can absolutely make that work.

Are sessions religious?

Christian contemplative gatherings are intentionally faith-centered. Individual restorative sessions are not inherently religious, though spiritual themes, scripture, or prayer can be incorporated if meaningful to you.

Are sessions in-home?

While postpartum sessions are typically held in-home, all offerings are flexible and can be adapted to your preferred setting, whether that's indoors, outdoors, or another suitable location. Together we'll choose a space that best supports your experience.

Is this appropriate during recovery or illness?

Yes! Because sessions are deeply gentle, fully supported, and require very little physical exertion, individuals navigating illness, fatigue, grief, or overwhelm often find them especially supportive. Every situation is unique, and I’m always happy to discuss specific needs beforehand.
